scarlett isobel daines THERE'S ALWAYS GONNA BE ANOTHER MOUNTAIN, I'M ALWAYS GONNA WANNA MAKE IT MOVE. ALWAYS GONNA BE AN UPHILL BATTLE, & SOMETIMES I'M GONNA HAVE TO LOSE. IT AIN'T ABOUT HOW FAST I GET THERE, AIN'T ABOUT WHAT'S ON THE OTHER SIDE. IT'S THE CLIMB. THE STRUGGLES I'M FACING, THE CHANCES I'M TAKING SOMETIMES MIGHT KNOCK ME DOWN BUT NO, I'M NOT BREAKING. you should know by now that my name is scarlett isobel daines, but please call me scar, s.daines. i like them much better! although my fake i.d. says differently, i'm really twenty. cool, huh? i guess i could be classified as a tourist, but i prefer not to be labeled. i grew up in the beautiful city of new york city, new york, but i certainly like this town much more! want to know how i act? two words can sum me up: patient and outgoing. yeah, i'm pretty amazing, aren't i? some say i look just like sophia bush, though i can't see it! jealous? i know.
leah michelle daines was barely twenty when her highschool sweetheart ditched her after she broke the news that she was pregnant with his baby. as far as leah knew, she wasn't able to have kids and she considered that to be why conrad stayed with her for that long - he didn't want kids and he wanted to be with someone that had zero chance of ever producing them. at first, leah struggled to the point where she dropped out of college and moved back with parents. things weren't supposed to happen that way, she was supposed to graduate with a degree in history and become a high school history teacher like her father. when things couldn't get any more worse, leah's father passed away only a few months shy of her birth. three months later - without her daughter's father - leah gave birth to scarlett isobel daines, a healthy baby girl in new york on october twenty-fifth. from day one raising a child was a struggle; no one said it was ever going to be easy but it definitely took it's toll on a single parent especially! leah continued living with her mother until she was able to find a job almost two years later with good enough pay to raise herself and her two year-old daughter, scarlett. it was obvious scarlett had the talent of talking; she would talk non-stop to just about anyone who would care to listen to her. it wasn't until scarlett was nearly ten that her father, conrad made way back into her life and suddenly had the desire to be a father he never was to her. thankful, her mother took him in with open arms just so she could ease the stress off of her and onto both of them.
as scarlett grew older it was obvious she was the affection of many boys. even though she swore she was going to be nothing like her mother, at age sixteen she found out she was pregnant. scarlett lead the life of a normal teenage girl - she had boyfriends, she was captain of the cheerleading squad and soccer team, she loved to hang by the beach and party with friends; but she was never supposed to get pregnant. she knew right away that her plans of owning her own company and making a name for herself in hollywood was tossed out the window and she'd have to find something else to do while raising her baby. in early july, scarlett told lucas taylor his life was about to change forever. the two got in a fight immediately and he denied it was even his. scarlett had no one left to turn to - her longtime boyfriend was turning on her, her friends were beginning to look at her differently, her parents wanted to emancipate her and she was all alone. that is until lucas' best friend stepped forward, JAMES LAFFERTY. scarlett always knew the boy - he had been with lucas several times but she never payed very much attention to him. she couldn't understand why he would want to help her when she treated him so poorly before. quickly, she found herself in the middle of a love triangle. news broke that she and JAMES had hooked up earlier in the year when she and lucas weren't together. lucas was devastated and she remembered fighting with him and arguing until he sped off on his motorcycle. that was the day when her world changed once more. lucas taylor died that day. the father of her unborn child was dead and there was absolutely no one left. that's when things began looking up again - JAMES offered to let her stay for a while until she figured out what she was going to do, her parents finally emancipated her, and she lost all her old friends because they believed every rumor they heard about her.
fast forward a year and scarlett gave birth to colbie lucas daines on october seventeenth with support from JAMES. fast forward another year and scarlett was finally adjusted to motherhood and was even balancing a job at a local event planning company. the memory of lucas, of course, was still in the back of her mind at times and the guilt that she killed him resurfaced - if they never fought, if she never hooked up with his best friend, he'd still be alive. that's when the brunette entered a state of depression and stayed in the constant remorse for months. after realizing colbie was a carbon copy of his father, scarlett's life began to look brighter and she threw herself into her work. she never felt bad for overstaying her welcome with JAMES, he was a big part of what she was doing today and they had became good friends. now, scarlett's weighing her options - stay with JAMES and live in halifax, nova scotia still or move where her job need her, to los angeles with colbie by her side. now a proud mother, scarlett's trying to keep her feelings for JAMES in check as she tries to mother four year old colbie and work a full time job. now i can establish the basics about me. my name is mariah and i'm currently sixteen. i've been roleplaying for forever, but i'm a professional already. you should probably know that i live in the pacific, in case you need to know when i will be on. if you need to contact me, you can do so on pm, aim.. be sure to plot with me soon!
