just do it. i mean, if it doesn't work out, we'll find a new one. brianne was completely horrified as she sat at the counter of her kitchen, her eyes wide as she stared at her two closest friends who were currently raiding her fridge for something to eat. "yeah, but i won't even know him. what if it's awkward?!" she groaned. she was silent for a moment, her finger dipped into her cup of tea as she swirled it around, staring at the liquid stir around in her cup. her friends simply laughed at her and she sighed, resting her head on the palm of her hand. "guys, i don't even know what to wear on a normal date," she sighed after hearing where she was meeting him that night. she was set for a night at the beach and the boardwalk with her mystery man and she only prayed that it would go well. she closed her eyes for a moment, picturing herself on a beach with nothing but her two dogs and her gym friends. she was quiet, but she felt herself jostled back into reality when her friends were shoving her off the chair and directing her to her bedroom. okay, we'll help you then! she was silent as she was ushered to her bedroom and soon to her closet. she seemed like a zombie, simply following behind as she was seated and she found herself trying on different outfits. she hated all the suspense that these "blind dates" brought, but there was no backing out. she owed them a favor and this was how she was going to repay it. the blond turned her head to look at her reflection, but she found it blocked by her friend. not until after! she rolled her eyes and turned back to face forward, allowing her other friend to do her makeup. this was something that she wasn't used to. getting dressed up, being girly. she never spent time on this until she came to halifax and she was positive that no one really cared this much, did they? she ignored it and waited anxiously, forcing herself to hold her tongue until they were done. it seemed like forever, but just twenty minutes later she found herself looking at her reflection, her jaw urging to drop. i know it's a little too dressy for the beach, but we hope you like it. she didn't have time to respond seeing as she found her purse jammed into her hands and her car keys were presented to her. he's meeting you at the boardwalk by the gift shop. please don't be bitchy tonight.she was slightly shocked by that last comment. "what makes you think i'm goin----" she was cutoff by the looks she was given. "okay, okay. i promise to keep the biting to a minimum," she chuckled. bri was quickly swept out the door and found herself in her car driving down to the boardwalk. she was nervous, that was a given. she hadn't been on a date in so long and she didn't want to disappoint herself. okay, i'll just give him a chance. i mean what could possibly be so bad? she sighed and turned off the car, sitting in her seat for a few minutes before getting out and making her way down the boardwalk. she spotted the gift shop and instantly she made her way there, praying silently that this date would go right. she turned her back, walking a little further to the corner of the boardwalk where she stood at the edge, her eyes watching the sun slowly descend. a small smile crossed her features and she closed her eyes, remember what the sunset looked like from her rooftop in montreal. she seemed to be lost in her memories as she waited for her mysterious date, completely losing track of time. words: six seven three tagged: wesley/shelby <3 outfit: here!notes: aww c: format: my own!
